摘 要

本论文以 992 位西方汉学家的中文姓名为样本，将他们的中文姓名划分为中文名、

中文姓两个部分进行分析，尝试从这 992 位西方汉学家的中文名中得出一般性规律，探寻他们中文名后蕴含的深意。

中文姓部分的分析重点在于分析中文姓与本姓之间的相关性，这两者之间的关系主要集中在发音上，少部分存在意义对应。读音上的关联可细分为中文姓发音与本姓开头、本姓中后部以及本姓整体之间的联系。也有的中文姓与本姓并无关联，在此种情况下分成中文姓与本名有关和另取中文姓两种情况。

中文名部分则也以发音之间的联系为主，主要讨论中文名来自本名常见中文译法与中文名与本名读音相关并且更加中国化这两种情况。

通过总结 992 位西方汉学家的中文名，得出一般性规律：西方汉学家在取中文名时存在两种文化心态。一是对中国文化的认可，二是中西方文化的有机结合。

Theory analysis of Western Sinologists’Chinese names

ABSTRACT

In this paper, we take the 992 Western Sinologists Chinese name as samples. Their Chinese names are divided into two parts:Chinese family name and Chinese first name. We try to draw a general rule from the 992 Western sinologists’ Chinese name, find the inherent meaning.

The key part of the analysis in Chinese family name is to analyze the correlation between Chinese family name and original family name, the relationship between the two is mainly concentrated in the pronunciation, a small part in meaning. Pronunciation links can be divided into in the beginning, the rear and the relation between the name of the whole. Also there are some Chinese surnames and the original surnames are not related, two situations in this case: Chinese surname and original first name are related, create Chinese surname independently.

The Chinese name section also focuses on the relationship between pronunciation, mainly discussing the Chinese names from the original name, the common Chinese translation method and the Chinese name, and the pronunciation of the real name related to, and more Chinese style.

By summing up the Chinese names of 992 Western sinologists, we get the general rule: Western Sinologist has two cultural attitudes when taking Chinese names. One is the recognition of Chinese culture, and two is the organic combination of Chinese and Western cultures.
