论东西《没有语言的生活》中人物形象塑造

摘 要

《没有语言的生活》是广西文坛“三剑客”之一东西早期的作品，讲述的是三位不同器官残疾的人力图过上正常人生活的故事。创作时作家思虑许久，摒弃了以前作品对残疾人形象塑造观念的束缚，将三个“不正常人”的命运捆绑在一起，形成“三位一体”：通过瞎子（父亲）提问，哑巴（媳妇）点头或摇头，聋子（儿子）再把看到的告诉父亲的方式实现了正常人沟通。人物是小说创作的核心，作家通过对人物形象的描写，将人物的性格塑造出来。人性是东西创作的起点，也是他的归宿。笔者通过分析人物形象塑造，了解小说中人物的遭遇和命运， 体味小说人物对苦难与贫穷的抗争，深入理解东西创作的艺术风格及精神世界， 并体会社会发展转型时期弱势群体在物质和精神上的困境与挣扎，以及挖掘人类心灵深处潜藏着美好的事物。

Silence

ABSTRACT

"Silence" is an early works of Dong Xi, one of the "Three Musketeers" of Guangxi's literary world. It tells the story of three human with disability of different organs want to have normal human lives. The writer pondered for a long time and he had given up the shackles of their predecessors on shaping the image of disabled people and tied the fate of the three “abnormal people” to form a “trinity”: blind people (father) ask questions, dumb (wife) nod or shaking his head, and the deaf person (son) tells father to what he saw, which is achieving normal communication. The character is the core of the novel creation. Through the depiction of the character and shaped by the character's personality. Human nature is the starting point of creation, but also his home. Writer through the analysis of the characters, understanding the characters in the novel encounter and fate, appreciating the novel characters struggle against suffering and poverty, in-depth understanding of the artistic style and spiritual world, and understanding the social development and transformation period of vulnerable groups in the material and spiritualing difficulties and struggle, and digging the depths of the human mind hidden good things.

前 言

“吃粗糠野菜算不了什么，苦难疾病更是家常便饭”1，东西出生在桂西北地区一个生活困苦的家庭，少年时期经常饱受饥饿的折磨，大学期间家庭无法提供充足的经济来源，为了能抵抗饥饿带来的痛苦选用阅读的方式来进行消解。因此，作家的成长经历使他的小说更多地呈现出向底层阶级情感的倾斜：在前期的小说创作中，作家侧重对底层阶级生活原汁原味的描写；在后期小说的写作中， 则侧重对社会生活百态与精神状态的描写，以及对社会生存弊端与人性缺失进行无情地揭露与批判。

近年来，众多学者对这部小说进行了研究，在已有的研究成果中，人物形象塑造研究相对较为缺乏。研究主要集中在对作家语言和写作风格的探讨：

兰尉源在《语言的悲剧——论《没有语言的生活》》2一书中从语言悲剧的角度出发，认为语言的悲剧精神不是表现出对语言的绝望，而是表现一种战胜绝望的勇气；刘铁男在《冷峻的文本和深刻的疼痛——东西《没有语言的生活》对失语状态的后现代表达》3中通过对小说语言的剖析，揭示了物质文明发达时代下理性的混乱与精神的贫乏；欧阳钦通过解读东西“民族性”与“现代性”完美融合的创作风格，《“东拉西扯的先锋性”——以lt;没有语言的生活gt;为例解读东西小说的创作风格》4中写出了作家对生活处境的深刻观察，是对现实社会和终极价值的双重关怀；《现实主义与象征主义的调和——lt;没有语言的生活gt;双重结构分析》5中秦凌燕通过对作品的浅层和深层的结构分析，了解故事的浅层用现实主义的艺术手法描绘出小说人物受欺凌的命运，而故事的深层用象征主义的手法生成“隔绝”与“返回内心”的两个主题，作者将这两种层次高度融合，提出文学中的“雅俗共赏”。

众多学者对东西的小说进行了深刻地探讨为笔者对小说人物形象塑造的研究提供坚实的基础。
